Senior Research Officer
Shahrin is working as a Research Assistant at ICCCAD under Panii Jibon Project since February, 2018. During this period she has been actively engaged in conducting an action research on “Understanding Climate Change Vulnerability in Two Coastal Villages in Bangladesh and Exploring Options for Resilience”. As a research assistant she has been involved with doing literature review, conducting FGD’s, KII’s, and other participatory sessions for collecting data from field. She has also been actively involved with data analysis, report writing and preparing policy briefs. Earlier in her career she worked as Program Assistant in Climate Youth Initiative Programme at ICCCAD where she gathered experience on capacity building of youth in the form of training workshops, seminars, residential workshops, photo story competition etc. Shahrin also worked as a research assistant in a project called “Seismic Vulnerability Assessment of Ward No 14 of Mymensingh Paurashava” funded by Planning Commission, Bangladesh. As a master’s student she is currently working on her thesis which focuses on diagnosing urban poverty and social security needs of urban poor.
